Bleecker Victoria
Bleecker
It all started back in 2012, when I quit my life as a lawyer, moved to London from New York, bought an old van and converted it into a food truck.
We zoomed all over town in our truck, creating a buzz for our burgers.
I’ve always believed that burgers are about the beef and that is exactly what we wanted to showcase.
In 2014, we won the London Burger Bash with the Bleecker Black - a double cheeseburger with beef black pudding.
We spent years working our asses off in the truck and at burger pop-ups with Kerb, Streetfeast and The Southbank Centre.

The best burgers in London finally have a permanent home here, no need to trek east to a burger van in a car park any longer.
But let’s be honest, you’re here for the burgers, not the decor.
And burgers really don’t come any better than these.
You know what they say, once you go black you never go back.
Plus Victoria isn’t too bad of a spot, as long as you look up past the never ending construction…
BLEECKER BURGER COMING TO VICTORIA - London On The Inside
food
Bleecker Burger, undoubtedly one of the best in London, is finally getting a proper permanent home (that’s actually indoors) early next year.
As well as the truck roaming around Canary Wharf, Southbank and Dalston, the Bleecker gang has had a spot in Spitalfields but the new Victoria location is the first one that’ll feel like a proper restaurant.
All the old faves will be there, including the Bleecker Black and Angry Fries, so you can say goodbye to soggy old sandwiches for lunch, and they’ve got some new additions too, like an Oreo milkshake and The Kernel Brewery on tap.
And if you head down there on opening day, you can bag yourself a FREE cheeseburger because Bleecker will be giving them away all day long.
Bleecker Burger, Victoria – NOSH & BREKS

All our lunch and dinner slots were already full when we were recommended Bleecker as “the best burger in London”.
Our dilemma was solved by a quick Google; their speciality is the Bleecker Black burger, a double cheeseburger with beef black pudding.
Black pudding is clearly a breakfast item, giving us a perfect excuse to squeeze in a trip to Bleecker for the most important meal of the day.
The patties in both are cooked to a perfect pink with meat that oozes quality; flavour this good can only come from using top notch beef (Bleecker’s is dry-aged, rare breed and pasture fed).
The blue cheese sauce on the Bleecker Blue is very good, not too overpowering but still delivering a whack of flavour.

Bleecker, beloved of burger fans everywhere and at the top of Hot Dinners' personal burger list, will finally step into a proper, permanent indoor venue in Victoria.
The move follows almost five years of nomadic life for the legendary burger truck, as they moved between Southbank, Canary Wharf, Streetfeast Dalston Yard, Kerb to name but a few, before finally finding a permanent haunt in Spitalfields in early 2015.
Diners at the new Victoria venue will be able to sink their teeth into all those classic menu items we’ve come to know and love, which include their double cheeseburger (double American cheese, double beef), and their Angry Fries which come doused in hot sauce and blue cheese sauce.
With its close proximity to Victoria, particularly in an area where your options for a quick bite can feel a bit limited to pre-packaged sandwiches , and where you're in a space bereft of fine burgers - this is a lovely pre-Christmas present - albeit one you have to save until January.
Bleecker opens their Victoria branch on 23 January at 205 Victoria St, London SW1E 5NE.

Close to the Curzon Victoria, a fully fledged Bleecker Burger has taken root.
So, on a Wednesday afternoon, post Manchester by the Sea at the Curzon Victoria, we popped to Bleecker Burger — a single, tiny room with less hospitality than Wood Green Dixy Chicken.
Bleecker’s menu is tiny and seems to hold great confidence that the public adores blue cheese, as it’s on the signature ‘angry fries’, the veggie burger and the only adventurous offering, the ‘blue burger’.
I’m guessing ‘angry fries’ are named after the fact that blue cheese mixed with hot sauce makes some people openly cross, which is a brave business concept.
The veggie burger was a thinly sliced square of fried tofu in a bun with a singular lettuce leaf doused in more of the blue cheese and hot sauce.

The first bricks-and-mortar shop from a popular street-food burger outfit.
There are two kinds of burgers in this world: the posh kind (neat, relish-y, found on gourmet pub menus) and the fairly dirty kind (juicy, greasy, found on ‘Man v Food’).
There’s no bullshit about these burgers; they’re just bun, cheese and killer pucks of meat.
In fact, the only thing that stops the Bleecker black from being totally life-changing is that it’s almost monotonously rich; serious carnivores might disagree, but a bit of salad or sauce would give it a welcome lift.
Bleecker’s ‘angry fries’ are an ideal accompaniment – drizzled in blue cheese and hot sauce, with a serious zesty punch.
